Obesity is the second leading cause in preventable deaths and affects a third of the adult population and children are also prone to obesity as well. A
person that makes poor food choices that are high in fat, carbohydrates and sugars are prone to obesity. Following diet and nutrition guidelines and
exercising will help everyone in the struggle to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Diet programs with portioned food control may help in the treatment of obesity however maintaining the weight loss is difficult and does require a
person to make a permanent change in their lifestyles. Many people that loose the weight with the food in diet programs often gain back their weight
and then some when they stop using the program once they have reached their goal simply by returning to eating the foods that are energy dense.
High energy dense foods are high in fat and sugars such as chocolate, butter and other types of junk food. Foods that are high energy dense are
extremely high in calorie and there is little food to show for it.
When diet and nutrition guidelines are kept within the recommended daily amounts along with physical exercise in a person's lifestyle along with the
elimination of energy dense food it is easier to manage against the fight with being obese.
Although diet and nutrition guidelines are readily available it does not stop a person from over eating and making poor dietary choices. Those salty
fatty foods are sometimes hard to resist however they are creating an obese society.
There is an increased consumption of sweetened beverages which add extra carbohydrates and they contribute to younger people which are causing the
rising rates of obesity in children.
Society today has become reliant on bigger portions, fast food meals and that consumption triples a person's calorie intake
Consuming foods that are less concentrated with calories through dietary changes is extremely important because there are foods that you can eat larger
portions of and consume fewer calories and this in turn will help in controlling their hunger and the effect will assist in a person in loosing weight.
It is difficult to be strong when your taste buds are craving that greasy cheeseburger, however in order to be lean and healthy it is a choice that a
person has to make. If your diet includes fast food, high calorie fat condiments, sweets, soda pop among the many other bad foods and you are eating
them on a daily basis you are going to find yourself unhealthy and obese.
Replace those bad foods with those good foods in your diet and nutrition and you will slowly start seeing the changes and even more so you will see
that you will begin to feel better.
