Workout X Factors

Workout X factors are concepts, methods, motivations and attitudes that will help you make the most of your workout routine for optimized fat loss and greater muscle development. They also go a long way to help you achieve your fitness goals. Different fitness trainers might give you slightly varying workout x factors and depending on what you are training for, the focus might be on different areas. However, there are some essential X factors when it comes to fitness.

One workout X factor is to make sure you have a workout program that is personalized for you. When it comes to workout programs, no one program works for everyone. This is because there is the issue of body type, experience, lifestyle, health and fitness goals. So you need one that has been created by a certified fitness trainer, after a thorough interview or examination with that trainer. Moreover, the fitness regimen for someone involved in a sport would be tailored to build the skills and capacity needed for that sport.

A second X factor would be to warm up before workouts and to cool down after a workout session. This is an important and often neglected aspect by those who workout and yet, it is a major X factor, relevant to achieving optimum results from your workout. Warming up before a workout session means that your workout would have more effect on your muscles and will go a long way towards fat loss. Cooling down after a workout session vastly reduces the threat of injury from sprained or tired muscles.

Another workout X-factor is doing cardio and strength training. One of the goals in undertaking a workout in the first place should be total fitness and cardio and strength training provide a well rounded fitness. Focusing on the build of your body, your fitness goals (whether it is fat loss or endurance building) and your personalized workout program, will help you determine the right cardio to strength training for you.

One other workout X-factor would be to do the more demanding exercises at the beginning of your workout. All exercises are important in your workout schedule though not all exercises are equal; some are more demanding than others and it is important to do these while you are still fresh and have some strength. Saving these demanding exercises for the end of your workout is a bad idea and can increase the risk of injury. This is because when you are tired, your concentration could very easily lapse you might not be too focused on doing the exercises the way they are meant to be done.

All these are essential X-factors when it comes to getting the most out of your workout and meeting your fitness goals. It is also important to remember to remain motivated. Many times, it is easy to hit a plateau and lose motivation or the desire to keep to your workout schedule. If you are not the type who can easily self motivate, you might want to consider getting a personal fitness trainer. Then again, shake up your routine a bit, move things around and you might regain your passion and motivation.
