• Complete displacement or disunion of a bone from its normal joint position. 1, 2
• Manual or surgical realignment is required. 1
• Common areas of dislocation include fingers, shoulder, and elbow. 1
• Deformity is almost always visible; however, areas of heavy musculature may obscure the asymmetry. 1
