Many people mistakenly believe that they have to go to the gym to get in shape. They believe you need special machines to work the different parts of their body. Really, you just have to put in hard work and be creative in using the equipment you have.
Body Weight
The first piece of equipment that everyone should use is your body weight. When it comes down to it, life requires you to move your body around. So practice. If you need some ideas of body weight exercises HyperStrike has many to inspire you. Or maybe you think that you are to strong for bodyweight exercises. Try doing handstand push ups and one leg squats (pistols).
Dumbbells
If you have a couple dollars to spare you can get a set of dumbbells, maybe two. Now you have the equipment to do all of the dumbbell exercises and the bodyweight exercises from the Hyperstrike library. There are dumbbell variations of almost every popular barbell exercise (squat, dead lift, military press, etc.), plus some that you can’t do with a barbell.
Kettlebell
Although more expensive, a kettlebell is a very versatile piece of equipment. There are many advantages a kettlebell has over a dumbbell. There are also different ways to hold the kettle bell that can add challenge if necessary.
Alternative Equipment
Some of you may be thinking that there is no way to get superman strong with a couple dumbbells, a kettlebell and your body weight. There are many pieces of equipment that you will not find in a gym that you can get very cheap. Used tires, for example, are usually free. And I am sure you have all seen some really strong men throwing them around. Kegs are also very cheap and it is very easy to change the weight by adding or dumping water. How about a big rock?
All of this equipment is easy to obtain. It doesn’t take up too much space (except maybe the tire). And it is portable, so you can workout just about anywhere and any time.
No More Excuses!
Hopefully you see now that there is no excuse not to work out. With a few simple implements (many of them inexpensive) you can get a great workout. You can do it any time and any place and you don’t have to deal with that guy who sweats all over everything at the gym.
