Advanced Exercise Routines

Advanced muscle building exercise routines are a way to take your bodybuilding workouts to the next level. Gone are the days of learning how to do muscle building exercises and about what proper nutrition will do for your muscle building workouts. You are now the educated body builder! You are the one that all the newbie’s come to looking for advice about pumping iron. Your muscles are already cut and defined and you are probably spending a great deal of time at the gym perfecting your sculpture, right?

The only downfall is that you might be in one of those dreaded but notorious plateaus. You hear about them. You hear muscle builders who talk about being in one for months and you think that it will never happen to you. But here you are, jam packed right into the middle of a big old plateau.

You will have to change up your workout routine a lot. Add more reps and more sets. And perform more reps and sets between rests. Rests have to be kept to a minimum. Resting for too long between reps and sets will allow your muscles time to recover. Your goal is to keep your muscles fatigued. Your muscles have to be worn out in order to keep building muscle mass. They are essentially asleep (but not in a good way) in the routine that you are in right now. Denial won’t get you any closer to meeting your muscle building goals, so the sooner you accept that you are in a plateau, the sooner you will work your way out of it. But you have to start changing your routine quickly. The longer you stay in plateau, the harder it will be to work your way out of it.

It may also be time to add more supplementation to your workout program.  Adding additional protein supplements may be just the thing that you need to beat this hurdle. Supplements like 100% whey protein can seriously aid in your recovery times.

And if all else fails, it is ok to seek the advice of a trainer. It is a good idea to keep a close relationship with a trainer throughout your muscle building career. After all, they have spent years in training and educational programs to help their clients work through their plateaus. Your number one goal should be to get through your hurdle as quickly as possible in order to take your muscle building to more advanced levels.
