Avoid these Foods when Building Muscle

Unfortunately, when you are on a muscle building diet, there are probably a lot more foods to avoid then there are to eat.  The thing with a diet is that it generally means finding a diet plan and sticking to it.  This makes it easy to follow along and do exactly what you need to do no matter what temptations are set in front of you.  Once you create a diet plan, avoiding those foods that can cause huge issues is easy.

The most important thing to avoid with a high protein diet is foods that are high in fat.  You want to steer away from fatty meats, dark meat in poultry, and animal proteins that are high in fat.  There are a few reasons why.  The fat is a lot harder to break down, and generally ends up as excess storage in the body.  But, it also can raise your cholesterol levels which are always a concern with a muscle building diet no matter how lean of meats you are eating.

You also want to be sure that you are staying away from sugary foods.  There are all kinds of carbohydrates that can be good when used with a high protein diet.  There are also those that are full of sugar and are just going to turn into fat and be stored when your body breaks them down.  These are what you want to avoid.  Don’t eat sugary foods; they will be detrimental to your diet.  These are definitely foods to stay clear of.  So, don’t touch the cookies, ice cream, candy bars, or other sugary substances.

While there are many foods you can eat while on a muscle building diet, there are also many foods that you have to avoid.  Staying away from these foods will help you be the most effective in your dieting, and ensure that you get the results that you are looking for.  If muscle building is your goal, stay away from fatty meats and sugary foods, they are going to do nothing but hurt the results that you are looking for, and that is no fun.
