There are many components of having a good life but one of them is fitness. If your body is fit you will be stronger and be able to accept what life hands you from a better position.

Even if you are on the heavy side you still should consider introducing a fitness program into your life. If you live on a cul de sac it is as simple as making one round of it every day. Since you are very close to your home all you have to do is step outside the door and begin to walk. If you only make it past two houses that is ok because you have made a start somewhere. You can turn around and go back home but you will still have to walk past those two houses to get home. Within a week you will find you can go past even more houses, until you have made a complete trip around the cul de sac. This routine costs you nothing except some energy and muscle movement. It is close to home and right in your neighborhood. You remain in close connection to your home without much worry about being run over. So walking around a cul de sac is a safe fitness program.

There are many ways to engage in a fitness program. Get one of your family members to walk with you. You don’t have to jog or run a marathon just take a walk. You can get some soup or canned fruit cans and use them as weights. This is cheap and you simply hold them in your hands and raise them up and down over your head. Simple, cheap and a way to exercise some of your arm muscles.

If you own a dog you can take it for a walk instead of just letting it out in the back yard. This may not only good for you but also good for the dog. And a good start to a fitness program. If you are not used to walking with a dog be careful as the leash may trip you.
