
Fitness Program for Stress Relief
When we
go to work every day or work from our homes and also contend with all of the
stresses of everyday life we get stressed. Our heads ache, our necks get stiff
and our shoulders get tight. That is all related to stress and tension. One of
the best ways to relieve stress and tension is to change your life. If you start
a simple fitness program you are making a life changing decision. And yes that
means you are changing your life.
No
matter that you have not exercised in a long time. Just start and you will be
surprised at how quickly you feel better. If the only time you can engage in a
fitness program is at your lunch break then spend 10 minutes of it doing
something like walking around the office or walking around the office building. You just need a little motivation.
A funny
thing happens when you conscientiously begin a fitness program. You will find
that you also begin to make better food choices. You will also find your clothes
may seem a bit bigger. You will find you can go even further. It makes no
difference if this means riding a bike a bit further or walking a longer
distance or choosing steps over an elevator, you will find you can go a further
distance. A fitness regimen will also make your head ache less and your neck
will not be as stiff.
If you
have a hard time beginning an exercise program then maybe you need to choose a
reward each time you complete a weeks worth of exercise. It has to be something
you would usually not do or get. It has to be just that a reward for doing the
right thing and working out. It could be that after a month’s worth of
exercising on a regular basis you might buy yourself a bottle of perfume or
something special. It can’t be a root beer float or an extra piece of pie unless
you have foregone those things for the entire month.
However
you get yourself to engage in a fitness program, just do it.
