Daily Workouts to Improve Fitness
There are many things you
can do to improve your fitness simply by changing your daily routines.
If you live close to your
place of employment, why not ride your bike or walk there? You will also save
money on your vehicle, gas and wear and tear of it. Every little bit of movement
will help you overall.
When you go to the grocery
store or shopping, make sure you park further away. Do not be one of the people
that waste time trying to find the closest parking spot there is. You will reap
the benefits of this small fitness change.
If you are shopping at the
mall, why not take three walks around the mall before you actually shop? You see
other people walking and exercising in the mall and you can become one of them,
too. Take long strides and get your heart rate up. Once you have completed at
least three rounds of walking around the mall, you will have more energy to shop
for the items you want to look at.
If you are in a building
that has an elevator make sure you pass it by. Take the stairs and let your
legs, rear end and heart benefit from the stairs.
Make extra time in the
morning to walk your dog around the block. When you get home from work walk your
dog one more time around the block to improve your fitness as well as your
beloved dogs.
If you do not own a dog, why
not ask your busy neighbor if you can walk his or her dog? Your neighbor will
appreciate the gesture and be happy that you are helping their dog stay healthy.
You will also wear off some pent up energy the dog has and needs to get rid of.
When standing and doing the
dishes do some side leg lifts to tone up your outer thighs. You can also stand
on your tiptoes for a few seconds and lower to the floor to strengthen your calf
muscles.
Instead of sitting down and
watching TV, lay on the ground and do leg lifts. You can lift your legs while
lying on your back, your sides and your stomach.
You can stretch your arms in
the air from side to side. This will help to stretch your sides.
There are many exercises you
can do while you watch TV. Grab a chair and do standing leg lifts and any other
type of fitness routine you can come up with. There is no need to be a couch
potato.
There are many small things
you can change in your daily routine to improve your fitness.
