Places to Work Out
When you workout you do not
have to stay in your home or at a traditional gym. You can workout at many
interesting places to help keep you motivated.
For instance, if you live by
the ocean you can walk or job along the sandy beach. Bring your dog if you have
one. Your dog and you will both be benefiting from the fresh air, beautiful
scenery and the workout of walking or jogging.
If you live by a public lake
you can workout the same as the above. Check the rules for bringing your dog to
walk or jog with you.
Another interesting place to
workout is volleyball at a beach or park. Get your feet in the sand, play hard
and socially have fun.
Go on hikes in different
forests. You can pack up a light backpack with water, a cell phone, small First
Aid Kit and perhaps some nuts or a light food in case it is needed. You can go
on different hiking adventures each time. Start out at a trail that is fairly
easy. Soon you will find the most hills and more difficult terrain to hike on.
During pleasant weather, get
a group of neighbors, friends or family members to workout in the park. You can
bring balls to catch and kick. Bring a mat and you can stretch before you
workout and/or do pilates, yoga, jumping jacks and other types of exercise
together in the park.
Go on bicycle rides with
your spouse or significant other. Fresh air, vitamin D from the sun, great
companionship and working out all at the same time.
Find a favorite lake, beach
or pool to get your workout via swimming. You can do laps, water aerobics in a
class or by yourself as well as stretch in the water. The water will act as
resistance and help you to get a great workout. You will feel refreshed getting
exercise in the water.
Get out and workout doing
some whitewater rafting. When you choose a river with high current you will get
a phenomenal workout.
Rock climb indoors or
outdoors. Bring a buddy and share this experience together.
Snowboarding is another
interesting type of exercise and place to workout. If you have access to snow,
get out your snowboard or rent one and let the fun begin.
You do not have to keep the
same routine day in and day out. Mix up your routine with different places to
workout. You will reap many benefits from doing this type of workout.
