Workout Challenges & Weight Loss

There are many types of workout challenges you can try to help yourself lose weight, get into shape and feel great.

Do not do all of the workout challenges below at once. Take one challenge per week or until you get into the habit of following something healthier.

Commit to working out. Start out with only ten minutes per day. This will get you motivated. Gradually work your way up to thirty minutes, one hour or more as a workout challenge.

Another workout challenge is to get to bed earlier so that you have the energy and ambition to workout. If you are tired, you will most likely tell yourself you will workout tomorrow. This is no good as the excuse will fester on and on and before you know it, an entire month has gone by and you have not worked out.

Another workout challenge is with regards to food. Make sure you keep a diary of what you eat. Weigh yourself at the end of each week. If you have noticed that you lost more weight in one week than another, check out what you ate. Follow the food plan where you lost more weight so that the pounds keep melting off.

When you sit down to eat, really sit down. If you are one of those people that just grab a bite to eat here and there and think you have not eaten much, you may be surprised. (This is another area the food diary is good for.) Do not eat on the run. Do not eat while watching TV or any other distraction. Sit down and truly enjoy your food you are about to eat.

If your eating challenge is eating late at night you can slowly stop by at least switching over to fruits and vegetables. Do not eat ice cream, potato chips, Doritos and all other types of junk food right before you go to bed. Try to get to bed earlier so you do not get hungry and end up eating practically another meal. With this type of behavior it will be difficult to take off the pounds.

Another reason to quit eating late at night is acid reflux. If you wake up with headaches it could be because your food and acid comes up if you are lying flat or on a pillow. When you eat late at night you need to prop your head up to prevent this from happening. Better yet, you are challenged to cut out this activity altogether.

Use these workout challenges and any other bad habits you may have to get into shape.
