If you are looking for a magic pill to lose weight and change your body shape, you are not going to find it here. There is no simple shortcut to weight loss. It takes discipline to stick to a diet and exercise plan which is going to dramatically change the way that you look but there are some body transformation tips that can be followed to help you stick to the program and speed up the results.

The first tip is to take inventory of your eating habits. Be honest and think about what you eat, when you eat and how often you eat. You cannot lose weight if you are taking in more calories each day than your body is burning off. You must figure out the number of calories that you need to consume each day to match your level of activity and then adjust accordingly. You may need to cut the amount of calories or increase the amount of exercise each day or do both. One pound of body fat is the equivalent of 3500 calories, therefore if you cut 7000 calories a week or burn an extra 7000 calories per week you will lose two pounds.

Two pounds of weight loss per week is a very realistic goal and will result in the loss of more than 100 pounds in less than a year. If you are looking to get to your goal more quickly than you are going to have to increase your level of fat burning activity. Since it is not safe to go below 1200 calories per day, you need to find other ways to lose weight than limiting your food intake. Vigorous exercise is one of the best body transformation tips that you will receive. Walking two miles per day will burn approximately 200 calories on average therefore if you walk six times per week you have burned off 1200 calories or a half a pound.

More strenuous exercise will produce more dramatic results. Swimming for thirty minutes at a leisurely pace will burn approximately 300 calories, so four sessions a week will burn off an extra half a pound of fat. Participating in sports will also help burn calories and facilitate weight loss. 1 hour of tennis will burn approximately 600 calories, so if you do that twice a week you have lost another five tenths of a pound. Mix and match the activities and watch the weight melt away.
