Teen Muscle Building Supplements

If your teen is into bodybuilding, perhaps it’s time to think about the supplements needed to stimulate further muscle growth. There are many supplements out there on the market, but the natural ones usually are the best choice.

Supplements will help your teen get faster muscle building results. Choosing the right ones will make all the difference in the world. Teens should always stay away from supplements that can affect their hormones. Your teen is constantly growing and increasing levels of testosterone or the growth hormone  could meet with negative effects.

Supplements should always be chosen based on age and goal. There are certain supplements that work best for teens and yours is no exception. Teens under sixteen years old should stick to only certain products to help them gain muscle more quickly. It is often recommended teens under sixteen not use supplements at all, but here are a few that are considered safe.

Protein is an important part of muscle growth. One of the best protein supplements comes in the form of powder. This can be mixed with various foods or put in drinks such as protein shakes. There are several different kinds of protein so before choosing one, it is best to learn what they are and how they should be used. Your teen’s muscle building goals will also play an important role in the making of this decision.

Multi-vitamins are also crucial. Your teen should always stake vitamins each day. Usually a one-a-day will do the trick.

Teens who are age 16 to 19 will have other supplemental needs. They can use the protein supplements and vitamins mentioned above as well as a few other widely used products. Creatine is used to increase muscle mass and is safe and effective for everyone. It’s basic function is to increase ATP, which is the main energy source used by muscles for gaining explosive power. This will allow your teen to lift more weight and perform a higher number of sets and reps. this causes more muscle tissue to grow. Creatine should be cycled. Great results have been found in those who take it for four weeks, then stop for one to two weeks following. Then the process starts all over again. There are different types of creatine. Again, choosing the right one will depend on your needs and budget. It will be most effective when taking post-workout. This is when your teen will receive the best muscle building results from this supplement.
