Description

  • Squat down and grasp the medicine ball.
  • Lift the ball off the floor by forcefully extending your hips and knees.
  • After the ball passes your knees, drive your hips forward and bend your knees so the thighs are under the ball.
  • Jump the feet from hip-width to shoulder-width, and pull the body underneath the ball.
  • Catch the balland rack it near your clavicles while you are in the squat position.
  • Push or "jerk" the ball overhead by bending you knees slightly and forcefully driving the weight overhead.
  • Lower the ball back down to the clavicle and then to the floor.

ProTip

  • Lift the medicine ball from the floor to the shoulders in one continuous motion.

Mistakes

  • Holding the medicine ball too far out in front of you.
